Average wages in April 2026 increased by 5.4% year-on-year to 9,530.74 PLN
In April 2026, the average monthly gross wage and salary in the enterprise sector (in entities with 10 or more employed persons) amounted to PLN 9,530.74, i.e. 5.4% more than a year ago (compared to an increase of 6.6% in March this year and by 9.3% in April last year).
Its purchasing power increased by 2.1% year-on-year (in March this year it increased by 3.5%, and in April last year – by 5.1%).
In the period of January–April this year, the average monthly gross wage and salary in the enterprise sector stood at PLN 9,350.09 and was 5.9% higher than in the corresponding period of last year (when the growth was 8.5%).
In most sections and all main employment divisions, wage increases were recorded. The fastest-growing salaries were in the manufacture of metal products (+8.8%) and construction of buildings (+8.5%). The smallest increase was recorded in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+3.8%) sector.
