Performing work based on contracting agreements 09/2025

On the last day of September 2025, 1,502.1 thousand people worked exclusively under contract agreements and similar arrangements in Poland, which is an increase of 5.4% compared to September 2024. Compared to June 2025, their number increased by 3.5%.

On the last day of September 2025, 1,502.1 thousand people in Poland worked exclusively on the basis of contracts for specific work and related agreements, which is 5.4% more than in September 2024. Compared to June 2025, their number increased by 3.5%

The data concerns individuals performing work exclusively on the basis of contracts for specific work and contracts of a related nature, i.e., agency contracts, service contracts, activation contracts, acts of appointment, and contracts with members of supervisory boards. The information presented is part of experimental work aimed at determining the number of people working exclusively on the basis of civil law contracts.

Among all those performing work exclusively on the basis of contracts for specific work and related agreements, the majority are men. At the end of September 2025, their share amounted to 51.3%, which was 0.5 percentage points more than a year earlier and 0.2 percentage points more than at the end of June 2025.

Compared to September 2024, both the number of women and men working exclusively based on contracts for specific work and related agreements increased by 4.4% and 6.4% respectively. Also, compared to June 30, 2025, their numbers increased by 3.2% and 3.8% respectively.
