Job vacancy rate in the Eurozone 4Q2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the job vacancy rate in the euro area was 2.2% – up from 2.1% in the third quarter of 2025, but down from 2.5% a year earlier. In Poland, it was one of the lowest in Europe.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the vacancy rate in the euro area was 2.2% – up from 2.1% in the third quarter of 2025, but down from 2.5% a year earlier. In the EU, it was 2.0%, unchanged quarter on quarter and lower than 2.3% a year earlier.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the vacancy rate in the euro area was 2.1% in industry and construction and 2.4% in services. In the EU, it was 1.9% and 2.2%, respectively.

The highest rates were recorded in the Netherlands (3.9%), Belgium (3.5%), and Malta (3.3%), while the lowest were in Romania (0.6%), Poland (0.7%), and Bulgaria (0.8%).

By sector, the highest vacancy rates in the euro area and the EU were recorded in: administration and support services (3.4% and 3.2%), construction (3.3% and 2.9%), professional and scientific activities (around 2.5%), hospitality, and information and communication.
