Working, unemployed and economically inactive 2025
In the 4th quarter of 2025, employed persons represented 57.1% of the population aged 15-89. Unemployed persons constituted 3.2% of the economically active population in the 4th quarter of 2025.

In the 4th quarter of 2025, active working individuals constituted 59.0% of the population aged 15-89 years. This share remained unchanged compared to the 3rd quarter of 2025, while compared to the same period of the previous year, it increased by 0.5 percentage points.
In the 4th quarter of 2025, the number of active working individuals aged 15-89 years amounted to 17,912 thousand, of which: 17,346 thousand were employed, while 567 thousand were unemployed. The population of economically inactive individuals in this age group was 12,456 thousand.
Employed individuals constituted 57.1% of the population aged 15-89 years in the 4th quarter of 2025. The employment rate was slightly lower than that recorded in the 3rd quarter of 2025 (by 0.1 percentage points), but higher than in the 4th quarter of 2024 (by 0.3 percentage points).
The number of individuals aged 15-89 years in the working age in the 4th quarter of 2025 amounted to 16,466 thousand. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2025, there was a decrease in this group of individuals – by 39 thousand, or 0.2%, while compared to the 4th quarter of 2024, there was a slight increase of 17 thousand individuals, or 0.1%.

16,056 thousand individuals (i.e., 92.6%) worked full-time, while 1,289 thousand (i.e., 7.4%) worked part-time.
In the private sector, 13,115 thousand individuals were employed, which accounted for 75.6% of all employed, and in the public sector, 4,230 thousand individuals – 24.4% of the total employed.
Unemployed individuals constituted 3.2% of the economically active population aged 15-89 years in the 4th quarter of 2025. The unemployment rate was higher compared to the previous quarter (by 0.1 percentage points) as well as compared to the 4th quarter of 2024 (by 0.4 percentage points).
