The agency employment market is beginning to signal early, though unevenly, signs of recovery. By the end of 2025, temporary work activity in Europe had stabilized, however, growth is weak and varied between countries – the UK and Spain are performing better. Data indicates a slow recovery in 2025, with greater resilience in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Spain, while Germany, Finland, and Norway lag behind.
Agency work turnover rose dynamically in Asia, South America, and Oceania, while in Europe and Africa it remains limited. The online job market clearly rebounded in Q4 2025, particularly in Asia, South America, and Oceania. Globally, online recruitment is mainly concentrated in two sectors: professional, scientific, and technical activities as well as information and communication, with a strong share of retail.
In temporary work, the same sectors dominate demand across all regions. The most sought-after competencies are communication skills, as well as managerial skills, customer service, and English language proficiency. The importance of skills related to artificial intelligence is rapidly growing – the highest share of job postings requiring such skills is recorded in Israel, Ukraine, and Norway, among others.
